Mobile Crane Core
- Site: Ground stability, supporting materials, electric lines hazards, travel without load.
- Operations: Inspection, level, weigh, center of gravity, radius, parts of line, types of signals, requirements of especial liftings operations, liftings beneath the surface, tag lines, emergency reactions, operator aids, alternative operating procedures, safety devices, dynamic loading, side loading, attachments.
- Technical knowledge: Federal regulations, terminology, functions and limitations, rigging devices, wire rope electrical hazards, fall protection
- Load charts: terminology, basic math skills, appropriate use of the load charts.
Specialty:
- Set up: Supporting materials, boom assembly, outriggers, crawlers.
- Operations: operations on rubber and outriggers, pick and carry, unattended cranes, variables indicators, safety devices, two blocking procedures.
- Technical knowledge: Federal regulations, terminology, functions and limitations, wire rope replacement criteria.
- Load charts: notes, range diagram, boom/jib chart, rated capacity, gross capacity, net capacity.
